What is it?

The first person who can tell me what this is gets a prize!

(I'll bag this up and send it to you!)

Is that the trail of puffed wheat candy crumbs the boys left yesterday? You can keep them if it is (I'm not thaaaat desperate), but just send me the recipe(or post it here for others)...I don't seem to have it anymore and I have two bags of puffed wheat just waiting for some chocolate.

Oh, gross! I just now figured to enlarge the picture for a closeup. Is that something the cat(s) coughed up? Once again, no need to send it!

Well, you're close justme, but not cat cough up...anyone else have a guess?

May I guess again...is it what the cat had left after a meal?

dried up hops that were spilled?

ooooh, looks like hops! But, no. And, no it isn't a "pot" spill, LOL ;)

I'll wait a few more days and maybe somebody will get it. I bet there are a few boy scouts out there that might have a clue!

Ooooh I think I know! It looks like matted hair and grass that you combed out of your cat's coat. And I'm guessing it would be the new guy, Am I right?

Oh Jennifer, could have been the case, but not. Actually, he was matted, stinky and had a dingleberry, but no grass and dirt clumps. That's not what it is- keep guessing?

If it's not the remnants of a cat's dinner of choice (mouse), is it the remnant of the cat's dinner choice's nest?

This is difficult Ms. Brewer's Wife.

OK-about 2 weeks ago Jack came home from 4-H and said they were pulling apart owl pellets. Cool. But, not so cool when I go through Jack's backpack and it has spilled out of the baggie and is hanging out at the bottom of his backpack. YUCK! I didn't know he was bringing the owl pellet remnants home to show us! I'm like- "eww, what is this? Ah, now I know!"

So, justme_fromhere you were so close- it was coughed up dinner, but an owl's regurgitated meal of rodent.

ewww! I get to claim ignorance, as I didn't know how that worked with owls and all, although my son did. Anyway, I learned a little science today, and found a cool site for the kids to check out.
